Abstract
This article is devoted to study the working specifities with pupils in the content line of the programme “Interacting orally” in the Ukrainian language lessons in primary school. The main conceptual apparatus of scientific research is outlined. It is presented the theoretical analysis of modern concepts of language education and its role in the educational process of primary school. The necessity of teachers` preparing for the work on the formation of oral language skills of junior schoolchildren in the Ukrainian language lessons is justified. The main factors that contribute to the successful formation of primary school pupils' abilities and skills to express and communicate orally are specified. In the article was described the State Standard of Primary School in the context of the implementation of the language and literature sphere to the educational process. The purpose and tasks of Ukrainian language lessons in the development of the content line of the programme "Interacting orally" in primary school are determined. The article highlights the main provisions of the working methodology on this content area, including organisational aspects and practical directions of the teacher's work on the development of oral language skills of junior pupils. There were specified the main directions of the teacher's work on the formation of primary school students' ability to perceive, analyse, interpret and evaluate oral information and use it in various communication situations; communicate with other people in different situations of life. It is presented the system of appropriate traditional and interactive methods and techniques, forms and means of pupils`s teaching to express themselves and communicate orally. Has been developed a set of speech exercises and tasks that can be used in the process of developing primary school pupils' communicative competence. There were formulated methodological recommendations for teachers on the development of the content line "Interacting orally" in the practice of primary teaching of the Ukrainian language.
