Abstract

The world of commercial advertising texts continues to change rapidly creating a profound effect on human mind. Many techniques and methods help to affect the individual’s mental structure: at both the conscious and subconscious levels. TV commercials do not only inform the reader but form a bright advertising image through a system of expressive means of speech. Thereby, the language of advertising texts constantly requires updating. It should be mentioned that attracting the potential consumers’ attention plays an important role. Moreover, TV commercials use the language of manipulation — the selection and usage of specific means of speech by which the advertisers can influence the consumers’ choice through the advertising texts. Thence, it is important to teach future translators to understand the specification of advertised text, translate and even create the audiovisual product.
