Анотація
Idioms are considered to be an integral part of any language that reflects cultural, social, linguistic pecularities of peoples and nations of this or that country, are an essential part of writing fiction works and have an outstanding importance in teaching students of English professional and non-professional specialities. Nowadays, there isn't any teacher, student or an ordinary person who hasn't faced the difficulties in understanding, translation, interpretation and explanation of idioms. The purpose of the present research is analyzing some problems of using idioms in teaching students written translation and effective methods of working with them on the examples of certain expressions and phrases.
