Abstract

An important role in the development of civil society belongs to the teacher, because it is in the educational institution that students receive basic knowledge of civic education, and their civic competence is formed. Accordingly, there is a need to determine the extent to which the teachers themselves have formed civic competence, what difficulties they face during the improvement of personal civic competence, what are the levers that motivate them to professional development. The article publishes the results of a survey of teachers of Kyiv educational institutions regarding the implementation of the "Professional Standard of a Teacher" and outlines a range of problems related to the improvement of civic competence in particular
