Abstract
The article scientifically substantiates the educational significance of the course «ICT in the field of musical art» in the professional training of instrumentalists in the context of university education. The scientific works on the use of information and communication technologies in music are analyzed. The purpose and content of the discipline “ICT in the field of musical art” are presented and the main competencies that instrumental students should master in the process of studying this course are defined. The capabilities and functions of Finale, Sibelius, Sony Vegas, Pinnacle, Movie Studio, and Cubase are explored. The pedagogical expediency of using information and communication technologies in the professional training of students of instrumental and performing specialties is proved. The pedagogical conditions that ensure the effectiveness of the use of ICT in the professional training of instrumental students at the university are determined: 1. The use of educational tasks by the teacher to form IT-competence in the field of musical art and education of information culture, development of cognitive activity and creative potential of the student. 2. Updating and integration of knowledge of music-theoretical and instrumental-performance disciplines in the process of notation and adaptation of musical material and the creation of audio and video files. 3. The student’s ability to apply modern information technologies in classroom and independent work in the specialty, which expand the possibilities of pedagogical-musical and creative activities. The conclusions are made that the use of information and communication technologies in the professional training of an instrumentalist student at the university contributes to: 1. The development of the intellectual sphere and information culture of the student. 2. Mastering the skills of working with notetaking programs, sequencer programs and video-editing programs. 3. The creation of musical content by the student necessary for further educational and independent pedagogical and musical-creative activities.
