Abstract
The article addresses one of the pressing issues in linguodidactics—the development of monologic speech in primary school students through modern digital tools. It analyzes the scientific and methodological foundations of using digital technologies in teaching the Ukrainian language and speech. The didactic potential of Ukrainian language lessons in fostering monologic speech skills through digital tools is explored. Emphasis is placed on the importance of incorporating appropriate digital tools in the educational process to develop and enhance students' monologic skills and abilities at the primary school level. The main directions of teachers' work in Ukrainian language lessons aimed at developing students' monologic speech are outlined. The article proposes an innovative approach to conducting Ukrainian language and speech lessons, recommending the use of modern educational platforms and mobile applications to develop and refine students' speech skills. This approach contributes to shaping students' linguistic identity and communication abilities. A description of the educational platforms Google Classroom and Seesaw is provided, highlighting their potential for enhancing monologic speech development among primary school students. These platforms are recommended for teaching students how to construct various types of monologues effectively. The article also provides a detailed analysis of the Flipgrid mobile application as a tool for developing monologic speech in primary school students. This application allows students to independently create and record monologues, listen to and analyze them, and receive feedback from teachers and classmates. The advantages of using this digital tool in both in-person and/or remote Ukrainian language lessons are highlighted. Additionally, methodological recommendations are developed for primary school teachers regarding the effective use of educational platforms and mobile applications to foster monologic speech development in young learners.
