Abstract

The article is devoted to the effectiveness of the “Six Bricks” methodology in the educational process of primary school mathematics lessons. The structural components of performing tasks with the use of LEGO bricks are indicated: design task, game task, game actions, game rules, and conclusion of the game. Attention is focused on the techniques that reveal the potential of students and help their self-development: designing by sample, designing by model, designing by theme, designing by condition, and designing by one's idea. It is emphasized that the methodology promotes the development of critical thinking, creativity, communication, and cognitive skills. Its integration into the educational process ensures the development of positive motivation to learn and contributes to the creation of a collaborative atmosphere in the classroom. Building with LEGO bricks proves to be effective, demonstrating a high level of learning and awareness of primary school students, as well as their ability to find innovative solutions and work in a team. The use of LEGO in math helps to conduct math dictations, solve problems, learn the basics of geometry, implement project activities, etc. Moreover, this methodology stimulates hands-on learning, allowing students to visualize and interact with abstract mathematical concepts tangibly. By fostering engagement and active participation, the «Six Bricks» methodology not only enhances academic achievements but also supports the holistic development of students.Additionally, the versatility of LEGO bricks allows teachers to adapt tasks to the individual needs of students, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for diverse learning abilities. Through the development of fine motor skills and spatial awareness, the methodology further supports the physical and cognitive growth of children. The practical application of mathematical knowledge using LEGO encourages students to see the relevance of math in real-world contexts, thus fostering long-term retention and a deeper understanding of the subject.
