Abstract

Students first become familiar with the basic means of expressing the category of obligation in Japanese at the stage of mastering the simple form of negation. It is worth noting that a rather illustrative example of the actual use of these constructions is their use in the same speech act with constructions of granting permission not to perform an action. The intermediate level involves the involvement of a wider range of such grammatical units. It is worth remembering that any diversification of educational material, especially grammatical, requires significant additional effort and time from the teacher. Otherwise, students may begin to confuse grammatical constructions, not clearly understand the mechanism of their formation and, as a result, lose interest in the lessons.
