Abstract

The modern educational space is experiencing rapid changes due to the development of digital technologies and their integration into the educational process. One of the key areas of innovation is the use of immersive technologies, such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and other interactive technologies that allow the creating of new approaches to learning and professional training. The central purpose of this article is to highlight the nature, place and role of the immersive technology variety in teaching a foreign language to future teachers. Immersive technologies are becoming an effective tool for increasing students’ interest and motivation, forming 21st-century competencies, such as critical thinking, teamwork, creativity, and digital literacy. Thanks to interactive approaches to studying the material, these technologies help not only to acquire new material, but also to immerse themselves in learning situations that are as close as possible to real ones especially for future teachers.
