Abstract

The article discusses the problem of actively introducing generative artificial intelligence into scientific and research activities. It presents the advantages and risks of artificial intelligence in the performance of research tasks by scientists and analyses the attitude of young researchers towards the use of artificial intelligence. It is noted that the use of AI tools in scientific research requires a clear definition of new requirements for researchers and their scientific achievements, the adjustment and supplementation of scientific ethics standards, and the development of new institutional policies for academic integrity at both the state and higher education institution levels. The current state of scientific ethics in the context of the rapid development of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and its active implementation in scientific activity is investigated. Particular attention is paid to the attitude of young scientists towards the use of AI tools in the preparation of research texts, and the role of academic integrity as a regulator of this activity is analysed.Theoretical and empirical methods were used, in particular, a survey of postgraduate students majoring in Educational Sciences at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University. The results of the study demonstrate the ambivalent attitude of applicants towards AI: on the one hand, there is a high level of interest in and use of digital tools, and on the other hand, there are concerns about the risks of violating ethical standards. Based on the data obtained, recommendations were formulated for updating the principles of scientific ethics, taking into account contemporary challenges, and directions for the development of academic integrity policy were proposed. The article attempts to develop recommendations and define principles for the use of generative AI in education and scientific activity, noting the need to create a legislative framework in Ukraine to regulate the use of generative artificial intelligence
