Abstract

The purpose of the work is the theoretical substantiation of the importance of preserving and promoting the book heritage of Ukraine as constituent elements of national identity and cultural stability, as well as the development of practical recommendations for the integration of these processes in ensuring state policy in the field of national security. The research methodology is based on the use of general scientific and special methods, including comparative, deduction and induction, quantitative, qualitative, as well as bibliographic, chronological. The scientific novelty is a comprehensive analysis of the relationship between the preservation and popularization of the book heritage of Ukraine and the provision of national policy in the field of national security. This makes it possible to consider the book heritage not only as a cultural object, but also as a critical resource for national security. Conclusion. The book heritage plays a key role in shaping national identity, preserving historical memory and ensuring the cultural stability of society. It is a strategic resource of national security of Ukraine, especially in the conditions of information and armed threats. Its preservation and popularization contribute to the counteraction of information wars, historical manipulations and cultural expansion, while the loss or distortion of this heritage weaken national consciousness and facilitate the imposition of other people's ideological narratives. Not only does the book heritage be protected, but it also serves as a means of mobilizing society, supporting the moral spirit and consolidation of the nation in war. Thus, national national security policy should include comprehensive measures to preserve and promote the book heritage of Ukraine, which will strengthen information and cultural security, promote international recognition of Ukrainian identity and will become the basis for sustainable development of the state. One of the areas of further research is to determine the role of book heritage in the formation of national identity.
