Abstract

The article examines the features of the development of a health-preserving environment in secondary education institutions and emphasizes the importance of implementing sexual education for children and adolescents, which will contribute to the formation of a conscious attitude towards health and sexual relations, the prevention of risky behavior, and increase physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. The purpose of the study is to determine methodological approaches to the development of a health-preserving environment in secondary education institutions and to identify conditions that will ensure the successful implementation of sexual education for children and adolescents in a secondary education institution. The objectives of the study are to identify and generalize the problems of developing a health-preserving environment in the social and educational environment. In addition, it is necessary to investigate the need for the implementation of sexual education for children and adolescents in the conditions of a general secondary education institution, since, in this context, they are the most vulnerable groups of the population. The article identifies methodological approaches to the development of a health-preserving environment in general secondary education institutions (axiological, valeological, activity-based, personality-oriented). Important aspects of topics on sexual education of children and adolescents are presented, which should be covered by parents in the family and by teachers in the general secondary education institution according to the age period. The conditions that ensure the successful implementation of sexual education of children and adolescents in the general secondary education institution include: the orientation of the content of training and educational and methodological support to the implementation of sexual education of children and adolescents in the context of the development of a health-saving environment; the transfer of knowledge and skills from teachers to students; the establishment of partnership between teachers and parents in the process of implementing sexual education of children and adolescents in general secondary education institutions; monitoring the impact of sexual education of children and adolescents on the level of development of a health-saving environment. The results of the generalized analysis make it possible to draw conclusions about one's own vision of the problem under study and allows us to outline the features of the development of a health-preserving environment in secondary education institutions. In particular, the methodological approaches to the development of a health-preserving environment in secondary education institutions include: axiological, valeological, activity-based, and personality-oriented. In the future, it is necessary to design a number of measures that would help unite teachers, students, and parents in cooperation to ensure the possibility of developing a health-preserving environment in secondary education institutions.
