Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of modern challenges of digitalization in the professional training of future designers in higher education institutions. It examines the main aspects of integrating digital technologies into educational-professional programs aimed at developing digital competencies of education seekers and adapting their professional activities to the conditions of the digital economy. Emphasis is placed on the importance of modernizing professional education to meet the current challenges of the labor market and to provide future designers with the necessary knowledge and skills. The article identifies one of the key challenges as the insufficient technical equipment in higher education institutions. The lack of modern equipment and stable access to digital resources complicates the integration of digital technologies into the educational process. Another significant issue is the insufficient level of digital competencies among teachers, which negatively affects the quality of training for future design professionals. The need to implement a systematic approach to teacher professional development and to develop innovative teaching methods that consider the specifics of design activities is outlined. The necessity of updating the content of educational-professional programs in design is discussed. The article proposes the implementation of flexible learning modules that allow the rapid adaptation of program content to the latest trends in professional activities. The importance of introducing innovative approaches, such as project-oriented learning, which promotes the harmonious combination of theoretical training with practical tasks aligned with real labor market needs, is also emphasized. As a result of the study, it is established that digitalization of professional training for future designers is a prerequisite for adapting professional education to the challenges of modern digital society. The integration of digital technologies into educational-professional programs ensures the preparation of highly qualified specialists capable of successfully functioning in the conditions of the digital economy. This article contributes to the development of scientific discourse on the digitalization of professional education and opens up prospects for further research in this field.
