This project explores the translation of cultural and historical references in London Stories by Jim Eldridge, focusing on the preservation of the source context in the Ukrainian translation. The study examines the challenges faced in translating these references and analyzes the techniques used to maintain the authenticity and coherence of the historical and cultural elements. The research also assesses the effectiveness of the translation in conveying the narrative’s source meaning, making it accessible and relevant to a Ukrainian audience
