Abstract
The explainer video entitled «Student Self-Government in Ukraine» is a multimedia media project aimed at covering the specifics of the student self-government bodies in higher education institutions of Ukraine at present. The aim of this practical project is to define the essence of student self-government in Ukraine and to explain the specifics of the activities of student self-government bodies and public organisations in the context of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war. The project was carried out in several stages: a script was written and interview guests were selected; technical preparations were made for recording video material; two video interviews were conducted and author's comments were filmed; the video was fully edited; and finally, the explainer video was prepared for publication and additional posts about the video project were published on social media to reach a wider audience. The video explainer is aimed at both Ukrainian-speaking and foreign viewers, thanks to English subtitles. This explainer video covering student self-government in Ukrainian higher education institutions is relevant because there's no similar media product in the Ukrainian-language media space, while youth activism is getting a lot of attention right now due to dynamic domestic political processes and the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war.
