Abstract
Modern socio-economic challenges, a high level of innovation and technology require the education system to form a personality capable of generating new ideas, easily adapting to changes, acting proactively and creatively in any circumstances. In this regard, the issue of developing the creative potential of the younger generation becomes one of the priorities. The most favorable period for the formation of creative skills is the younger school age, which is characterized by the intensive development of cognitive abilities and emotional sensitivity, which creates optimal conditions for the active involvement of children in creative activities. In this regard, the Law of Ukraine "On Education", the Concept "New Ukrainian School", the State Standard of Primary Education, educational programs have determined the priority, goal and objectives of the creative development of students. In particular, the Law of Ukraine "On Education" defines the tasks of education as the comprehensive development of the personality, the formation of its creative potential and the ability to express itself through various types of activities; The Concept of the New Ukrainian School (NUS) focuses on the development of key competencies, including initiative, the ability to learn throughout life, and creativity; The State Standard of Primary Education provides for the formation of a creative personality through a competency-based approach and defines expected results in each educational field, which include the development of creative thinking, imagination, the ability to create new products of activity, and to participate in creative tasks; educational programs provide for the integration of creative tasks directly into the educational process, in which the lessons of the integrated course "Art" play a special role.
