Abstract
The relevance of the research is determined by contemporary requirements for the professional activity of primary school teachers, which should contribute to “the development of a free personality of the learner, the support of their independence, entrepreneurship, initiative, and selfconfidence” (Professional Standard Teacher of a General Secondary Education Institution, 2024). The analysis of scholarly literature demonstrates, on the one hand, a considerable interest of researchers in addressing the problem under research and, on the other hand, insufficient theoretical substantiation and limited development of tools and methodological resources for forming the entrepreneurial competence of primary school teachers in the course of their professional activity. These factors have directed the research toward theoretical generalizations and the description of methodological support for developing entrepreneurial competence in primary school teachers. The research substantiates entrepreneurial competence as an integral construct that combines motivational, cognitive, and activity-based components. It is established that, within the framework of contemporary research, the process of forming entrepreneurial competence should be structured with due regard, first, to the specific nature of pedagogical activity and, second, should be aimed at developing leadership qualities, responsibility, innovativeness, and the capacity for project-based activity. A synthesis of current international and national experience in the formation of entrepreneurial competence in the field of education is presented. The tools for forming entrepreneurial competence in primary school teachers proposed by the master’s student (project-based activity, case methods, and cooperation with public organizations) contribute to stimulating initiative, developing the ability to manage resources, and fostering teamwork skills. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed tools, the components of entrepreneurial readiness of primary school teachers (motivational, cognitive, and activity-based) were identified, along with a diagnostic toolkit (criteria, indicators, and levels) for assessing the degree of their formation. The results of the pedagogical experiment confirm the effectiveness of the developed methodological support for forming entrepreneurial competence in primary school teachers.
