Abstract

In this study we are analyzing the experience of the initial accreditation of the educational and professional program “Television Program Host” within the specialty “Audiovisual Art and Media Production”, and to delineate its specific features in the context of accreditation monitoring of an arts-related specialty. Research methodology. The study employs the bibliographic method to determine the extent of scholarly attention devoted to the issue of accreditation of arts programs. The analysis of regulatory documents governing accreditation procedures and criteria, combined with the descriptive-analytical method, enabled the identification of the specific features of accreditation monitoring in an arts-related specialty. Furthermore, the method of practical generalization facilitated the formulation of recommendations aimed at enhancing the accreditation process of arts-oriented educational programs. Scientific novelty. The article presents the first systematized account of the initial accreditation of the educational and professional program “Television Program Host” within the specialty “Audiovisual Art and Media Production” at the Department of Information and Communication, Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Arts, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University. The study highlights the particularities of accreditation monitoring in an arts specialty and underscores the insufficient coverage of accreditation issues in such fields as audiovisual art, performing and musical arts, choreography, and journalism within current academic discourse. The relevance and novelty of the publication are determined by the identification of the distinctive characteristics of accreditation in an arts-oriented educational program and by the original generalization of this experience at Grinchenko University. Results and conclusions. The research provides practical recommendations for the preparation and optimization of the accreditation procedure. Prospective directions for further research are identified, including the analysis and dissemination of innovative practices in the design and improvement of cultural and artistic educational programs at other Ukrainian universities, which would allow for a comparative evaluation of accreditation approaches and the identification of the most effective methodology for arts-related specialties. Additionally, attention is drawn to the necessity of examining the impact of the accreditation process on the quality of the educational environment and on the professional development of academic staff.
