Abstract
The qualification work is dedicated to examining the role of visual identity in promoting the services of a tattoo studio and analyzing how design systems influence brand value formation within the contemporary digital environment. The study explores the theoretical principles of building visual identity for service-oriented brands, identifies key trends in communication and graphic design, and outlines the specific characteristics of visual strategies in creative industries. A comprehensive analysis of modern approaches to identity development for service businesses—particularly within the beauty and creative sectors—has been conducted. The research investigates the mechanisms through which a brand’s visual language affects consumer behavior, including first impression formation, emotional response, trust, and brand recognition. An overview of international and Ukrainian tattoo studios has been carried out, allowing for the identification of prevailing positioning models and visual codes used by contemporary brands in a competitive landscape. Special attention is devoted to the practical case study of the tattoo studio Futiur, which is defined by a nonconformist, bold, and highly conceptual aesthetic. The analysis covers the studio’s logo, typography, color palette, textures, and overall visual system, evaluating their coherence with the brand’s positioning and their impact on the target audience. Recommendations for the improvement and adaptation of Futiur’s identity have been developed, taking into account the needs of digital platforms, multi-format communication, and modern marketing requirements. The results of the study demonstrate that identity within the tattoo industry is not only an aesthetic component but also a significant marketing instrument that influences brand competitiveness, audience trust, and engagement metrics across social media platforms. The findings may be applied in the further development of design systems for service brands and in the implementation of effective visual communication strategies.
