Abstract

This bachelor's thesis explores how the war in Ukraine is covered by both Ukrainian and international media. The research focuses on a comparative analysis of content, headlines, visual elements, and tone of reporting. The practical component includes the creation of a digital magazine based on the author’s own reporting, interviews, and video materials published in Kyiv Post, as well as examples from other Ukrainian and foreign media outlets. The study highlights key cases from 2022 to 2025, including stories about captivity, prisoner exchanges, and attacks on civilians. The thesis proposes strategies for balancing emotional storytelling with factual accuracy in war reporting. It also examines the impact of media narratives on public perception, journalistic ethics, and adherence to international reporting standards.
