Анотація

This article explores the potential of Google Colab as a tool for developing soft skills in future IT specialists within the context of digitalized education. The study emphasizes the growing importance of transferable competencies such as teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and self-organization alongside technical skills. Google Colab, as a cloud-based interactive environment, provides accessible and collaborative opportunities for programming and data analysis without the need for complex local setup. The research highlights that the use of Google Colab supports collaborative learning through shared notebooks, peer code review, and integration with platforms such as GitHub. It facilitates project-based learning and reduces common barriers associated with traditional development environments. Additionally, its interactivity promotes self-directed learning, reflection, and continuous skill development. The findings indicate that integrating Google Colab into the educational process enhances students’ engagement and fosters key soft skills, including teamwork, accountability, time management, and adaptability. The study concludes that cloud-based tools like Google Colab are effective in combining technical training with the development of essential professional competencies required in the modern IT industry.
