Анотація

The presented scientific monograph brings a comprehensive and interdisciplinary analysis of key transformation challenges that fundamentally shape the security, institutional stability and socio-economic development of the contemporary European space. The publication is structured into four interconnected thematic sections. The first part focuses on geopolitical shifts as a result of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, scenarios for the development of European energy security and independence until 2035 and specific asymmetric CBRN threats in synergy with the spread of disinformation. The second section reflects on issues of institutional governance and the legitimacy of representative democracy in the EU, the economic cost of electoral processes, the impacts of US customs policy and protectionism on the business environment and a comparison of models of transformation of municipal structures and inter-municipal cooperation in Europe. The third section is devoted to the spatial analysis of socio-economic disparities in the regions of the Visegrad Group countries, the financial health and sector specifics of micro-enterprises in structurally disadvantaged regions, and the use of sustainable marketing tools and ESG indicators to balance financial imbalances with an emphasis on eliminating greenwashing. The final part examines the phenomenon of digital decoupling in the global economy and the application of artificial intelligence in project management in accordance with international information security standards. The book is intended for academics, public policy makers, local government representatives, and professionals in corporate and security management.
