Abstract

The article discusses the problem of developing text-writing skills in fourth-grade students as an important component of their linguistic development and the formation of their communicative competence. It highlights the importance of developing students' ability to create coherent, logically structured and meaningful oral and written texts, considering the age characteristics of primary school pupils. A general description of text-writing skills and their key components is provided, namely: text creation (the ability to form coherent statements with logical sequence, using appropriate vocabulary and grammar); comprehension and analysis (the ability to identify the main idea, determine micro-themes, interpret content); editing (the ability to eliminate flaws and ensure text coherence); reproductive skills (automated actions when reproducing existing texts). The focus is on interactive learning as an effective way to stimulate cognitive activity in schoolchildren. The pedagogical conditions for implementing interactive learning in Ukrainian language lessons during the formation of students' text-writing skills are outlined. The expediency of using interactive methods to increase learning motivation for speech activity, develop children's creative thinking, and form their text-building skills is proven. An analysis of interactive teaching methods that are appropriate for developing students' text-writing skills is carried out: collaboration in pairs and small groups, collective idea generation, simulation and role-playing activities, discussions and creative tasks. Their role in developing pupils' ability to plan their own statements, consistently organise their content and edit texts of various types and genres is revealed. Examples of practical exercises and tasks aimed at developing the text-writing skills of 4th grade pupils are proposed. Methodological recommendations for teachers on the development of text-writing skills in primary school pupils are provided.
