Abstract
Purpose. This study explores the representation of Ukrainian liberation movement docu ments from the diaspora within the digital collections of European memory institutions. Methodology. The research employs systemic and socio-cultural approaches. A complex of multidisciplinary methods was used, including historiographical, historical-cultural, typo logical, and comparative analyses, alongside system and content analysis. The integration of humanities-based methods with information technology facilitated the study of access-pro viding technologies and the promotion of digital resources and collections. Scientific no- velty. The study provides a comprehensive analysis of the documentary heritage of the Ukrainian liberation movement in exile, currently held in European memory institutions. T his heritage holds significant research and civic value, particularly amidst the intensifica tion of information warfare against Ukraine’s cultural identity. The study systematizes and clarifies the composition of documentary complexes belonging to Ukrainian political emi grants within various European digital collections, thereby expanding the source base for Ukrainian studies and enhancing the visibility of Ukrainian history in the European infor mation space. Conclusions. By comparing the availability of Ukrainian-related collections in European archives with their level of digitization for national projects and subsequent representation in supranational digital aggregators, the author substantiates that current representation is insufficient. This lack of visibility hinders the progress of Ukrainian studies and the effective implementation of cultural diplomacy, especially under wartime condi tions. The study emphasizes the critical role of Ukrainian institutions in ensuring the sys tematic and comprehensive presentation of Ukrainian liberation movement documents within European digital heritage frameworks.
